The original was my favorite game of all time until this came out. This game is just better in almost every way, updating graphics and adding tons of more modern QoL features. The only argument for the old game is nostalgia and preferring its art style. 3.

So Mafia remake looks better and has more "modernized" controls and is easier, at the expense of a quite a lot of cut content. If you are ok with the graphics and controls being 20 years old, and being more difficult, I'd absolutely recommend the original over the remake. Skullhammer98. •.
The second is a bit buggy but absolutely worth playing afterward. I hear that Mafia’s story is a lot better than Cyberpunk’s, and I’m the type of guy who puts the story as a priority compared to the visuals and graphics. Super strong story, gameplay is good fun, graphics are drastically improved over the original.

Mafia 1 definitive edition is not available on GOG, only on Steam and Epic, and I planned on buying the trilogy (R$280, in Brazil), since the remake costs R$230. I planned on waiting for a sale.
